HOW San Fernando Valley Oral Surgery and Implant CAN HELP
-
IV Sedation is a safe and comfortable method of medication that our doctors highly recommend to ensure patients remain as calm, relaxed and pain-free as possible during their procedure. Because IV sedated patients do not remember anything and time passes in what feels like an instant, it has become the patient's most popular choice for oral surgery in our office.

The four back teeth that generally erupt between the ages of 17 and 21 are your wisdom teeth. To prevent problems with oral health such as infection, decay, crowding and impaction, it is recommended for most to get their wisdom teeth removed. Your dentist will be able to tell you when you are ready for your wisdom teeth extraction with our doctors.
-
A dental implant is a long-term solution for a missing tooth or multiple missing teeth. Made of titanium metal, the implant acts as a substitute for the root of your natural tooth. They make eating comfortable, look identical to your natural teeth, and cannot get cavities.
-
Bone augmentation, also known as bone grafting, is a procedure needed when your jaw is lacking adequate bone mass to successfully hold a dental implant. If a dental implant is placed in the jaw where bone structure is not sufficient, the likelihood of an implant failing increases.
-
Full mouth reconstruction oral surgery is a solution that transforms missing, decayed, and/or cosmetically damaged teeth into a new, fully functioning, beautiful smile. It is a great option for patients with a variety of needs, including those who have experienced bone loss over the years, those who are experiencing an uncomfortable bite, those who have missing teeth due to decay, and more.

Oral pathology is the part of oral & maxillofacial surgery that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the mouth, lower jaw, head, and neck. The inside skin of the mouth, called mucosa, should be smooth and pink. If the mucosa is abnormal in color and/or texture, this may be a warning sign.
